And then one morning we made a visit to the gorgeous cathedral of Chartres and its stunning stained glass windows.

Chartres expert Malcolm Miller treated us to a reading of the stories built into the great stained glass windows. The cathedral itself is a book!

We couldn’t have been luckier weather-wise during our time in Paris. From shopping to exploring to finding places to dine, we had such a sunny time!

And then we hit the markets around Mon Martre. Nikki and Campbell had a caricature drawn of the two of them, and several of us left with original art in tow!

On our last day, we visited the luscious, lovely Louvre and its many centuries of arts and architecture from around the world and France’s richest past.

As a farewell dinner, we rounded out our Parisian adventures with a fancy dinner atop the Centre Pompidou at the posh Le George restaurant. Not a bad view, and a rosy sunset as we left to boot!
